About Me

I am currently a student member of the Institute of Medical Illustrators and studying an MSc in Medical Art at the University of Dundee. I previously studied at Northumbria University and graduated in 2013 with a degree in Fine Art specialising in oil painting and portraiture. Since graduating I have practiced as a fine artist, undertook commissions, and taught individual drawing sessions for NHS Health professionals.

During this time, I also worked for four years on a chemotherapy ward at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care in Newcastle upon Tyne. As I have always been fascinated by the human condition, anatomy and healthcare, as a medical artist I am passionate about creating artwork that combines both art and science to enhance visual communication and education.
